The wine has a bright ruby color, of medium intensity. The nose is open, gourmand, fruity and juicy. It expresses notes of ripe wild strawberry, crushed raspberry, ripe morello cherry, crushed blueberry, black plum and blackcurrant, combined with fresh touches of blackcurrant bud and mint leaf, a fragrant and refined floral bouquet (peony, lilac, rose), complemented by a delicate mineral and menthol touch, liquorice, cardamom and fresh hazelnut. The palate is energetic, lively and juicy, with a sharp acidulous frame, fine but rather tight tannins, as well as a slight bitterness. We find flavors of bird cherry, bigarreaux cherry, blackcurrant, raspberry, blueberry, as well as dried mint, pine needles, blackcurrant leaf, violet and peony. The finish is persistent and expresses tight tannins, balanced by a lively acidity, as well as a spicy touch of liquorice and cardamom.
