The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose is racy, mineral, finely herbaceous and floral. It first expresses limestone and slightly smoky mineral notes, peony, violet, iris and wild mint, associated with aromas of ripe morello cherry, red cherry jam, wild blackberry, wild strawberry and raspberry coulis, as well as notes of vanilla, liquorice and toasted hazelnut (even dark chocolate) in the background. The palate is chiseled, tight and tangy. It expresses notes of blackcurrant, wild blackberry, morello cherry, red cherry and raspberry, associated with touches of violet, peony, liquorice, blackcurrant leaf which bring freshness and a hint of bitter chocolate in the background. The finish is savoury, fruity (especially on black fruits – morello cherry, blackberry), with a good bitterness of bird cherry, firm and gripping tannins, but enveloped and balanced by a salivating acidity. Good persistence in the mouth.
