The wine has a bright ruby color, of medium intensity. The nose is aromatic, dense and complex, but refined and airy. It opens with notes of very ripe juicy morello cherry, crushed black plum, even prune cream, blackberry, black cherry jam and wild strawberry, combined with gourmand touches of chocolate morello cherry, dark chocolate, as well as a savoury spiciness (licqurice, vanilla, clove, sweet pepper). After aeration, we also find refreshing menthol notes (fresh pine needles, a hint of sap, wild mint) and an elegant floral bouquet (rose, peony, lilac) and a touch of cocoa. The tertiary notes are almost imperceptible (dry leaves, tobacco). The palate offers liveliness, energy, sharp acidity and fresh and tangy fruity flavors (bigarreau cherry, raspberry, blackcurrant), associated with the delicacy of morello cherry and black plum. We also find notes of wild mint, pine needles, liquorice, clove and sweet pepper, associated with a toasted and floral hint (violet, lilac). The tannins are finely tight and solid. Good persistence on the tanginess of the fruit. Lots of freshness, dynamism.
