Passo delle Mule – Nero d’Avola 2022 – Sicilia DOC

The nose offers power, intensity as well as fruit, notes of wild cassis, concentrated black plum and small notes of wild pepper associated with touches of roasted red fruits as well as hints of graphene/incense, oriental spices and a discreet hint of old balsamic. The palate offers fruit, concentration, a certain richness/intensity, a lovely tangy frame of accuracy, a stretched verticality. It expresses notes of dense black plum, tangy cassis and small notes of crushed redcurrants, associated with touches of roasted red berries as well as hints of wild pepper, cardamom, star anise/liquorice stick as well as fine hints of spices. The tannins are sapid and mellow. Softness and juiciness.
