The wine has a pale ruby color. The first nose is spicy and woody (but not excessively). It expresses aromas of toasted wood, toasted hazelnut, fresh wood in the background (even with a touch of sappiness), vanilla, liquorice, fresh nutmeg, white pepper. We then find ripe and savoury herbaceous aromas (from the stalk): pine needles, dried peppermint, dried thyme in the background, as well as a touch of dried rose and lily. The fruits on the nose are juicy and ripe: we find aromas of fresh strawberry, crushed raspberry, red cherry, morello cherry and blackcurrant. The palate is dynamic, tangy and chiseled: on the attack, it expresses notes of tangy red cherry, raspberry, fresh strawberry, morello cherry and blackcurrant. Then we find the herbaceous hint (peppermint, dried blackcurrant leaf, a hint of dried thyme), toasted (toasted wood, fresh wood, toasted hazelnut) and spicy (liquorice, nutmeg, white pepper) notes. The finish is lively, tense, with an expressive and fresh note of blackcurrant leaf, as well as a good bitterness of cranberries. The tannins are fine and enveloped. Beautiful acidity and good length, lots of freshness and liveliness.
