The wine has a pale ruby color. The nose offers an elegant herbaceous hint, precision, density and finesse. It also expresses notes of juicy fruits (red cherry, morello cherry, fresh strawberry, red currants) with touches of cooked fruits (stewed red cherry, dried red cherry, a hint of dried blackcurrant in the background). We also find menthol notes (peppermint, menthol, dried licorice) which appear after aeration, associated with touches of white pepper, grated nutmeg, a delicate woody side (toasted hazelnut, fresh wood, a very light hint of coffee and vanilla) and floral (cornflower, iris). The palate is airy and delicate. It expresses notes of juicy fresh fruits (strawberry, raspberry, red cherry, red currants), a fragrant floral bouquet (lilac, cornflower, peony), subtle woody and spicy touches (toasted hazelnut, fresh wood, liquorice, nutmeg, white pepper), as well as an integrated herbaceous side (dried mint, a hint of dried pine needles). The tannins are velvety, enveloping and very fine, but well structured. The finish is persistent, with a beautiful acidity and a slight bitterness (reminiscent of grapefruit). Elegance and delicacy.
