The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose offers gourmandise, juiciness, as well as a hint of jam in the fruity bouquet and pleasant herbal notes with a Mediterranean nuance. It expresses in particular the aromas of morello cherry jam, crushed strawberry, redcurrant jelly, roasted red cherry, as well as a touch of prune in chocolate and blackcurrant cream. After aeration, we find notes of Mediterranean herbs (roasted bouquet garni, rosemary, a hint of sage), as well as a smoky, spicy (liquorice, vanilla) and roasted (toasted hazelnut) hint. We also sense a hint of macerated morello cherry in the background. The palate is silky, enveloping and textured, with a touch of cherryin kirsch and prunes in chocolate on the attack. There are also notes of blackberry (even blackberry cream), fresh morellocherry, red cherry jam, wild strawberry and raspberry coulis, combined with touches of chocolate, toasted hazelnut, coffee and sweet spices (liquorice, vanilla, nutmeg) and roasted bouquet garni (as well as a touch of sage in the background). The finish is quite persistent, warm, with notes of morellocherry with kirsch and morello cherry with chocolate, balanced by a pleasant acidity. The tannins are well constructed, enveloping and powerful, but supple at the same time.
