The wine has a pale ruby color. The nose is aromatic and initially expresses distinct roasted (roasted meat, roasted bouquet garni) and spicy (licorice, nutmeg, white pepper, clove) notes. Then we find the gourmet fruity notes (crushed blackberry, black plum, juicy wild strawberry, raspberry, morello cherry), a touch of dark chocolate with mint, toasted hazelnut in the background and a subtle hint of iris. The palate offers juiciness, an airy side in the fruity material, as well as a certain breadth in freshness. It expresses the flavors of morellocherry, crushed blackberry, wild strawberry, ripe raspberry (even raspberry coulis) and black plum. In the mid-palate, we find the spicy and toasted side in the notes of nutmeg, cumin, white pepper and toasted bitter almond. The finish is persistent, with a good bitterness, notes of chocolate morello cherry and roasted aromatic herbs. The tannins are tasty and structured, quite fine. Nice acidity. A gourmet wine, with freshness and a certain complexity.
