The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The first nose expresses light meaty and smoky notes, associated with a hint of balsamic. Then, we find notes of morello cherry, strawberry, blackcurrant, blackberry and black plum, as well as touches of Mediterranean herbs (dried thyme, rosemary, a hint of basil), as well as violet, dried rose in the background and light hints of toast, liquorice and nutmeg. The palate is greedy and offers juicy fruit, a silky but firm tannic structure, as well as a certain concentration. It expresses notes of morello cherry, blackberry, black plum, roasted red cherry, as well as crushed strawberry, associated with herbaceous touches (thyme, dried rosemary, a hint of basil), dried rose, violet, with a hint of toast and spice in the background (liquorice, even star anise, white pepper, cumin). The finish is quite persistent and expresses a slight meaty touch, which can be felt on the nose. A fine warming touch of cherry with kirsch on the finish.
