Dacapo 2020 – Nizza Riserva

The wine has a ruby ​​color of medium intensity. The nose offers a beautiful juicy fruity material and gourmandise. It expresses notes of juicy morello cherry, redcurrant jelly, ripe raspberry (even raspberry coulis), wild strawberry, blueberry and roasted blackberry in the background. Then, we find touches of dark chocolate, morello cherry in chocolate, toasted almond, heated wood, liquorice, vanilla, sweet pepper, as well as fresh rosemary, roasted bouquet garni and peppermint in the background. The palate is enveloping and juicy, airy, all in finesse. It offers a suave and round attack, with lots of fruit and a beautiful maturity (juicy morello cherry, wild strawberry, blackberry, roasted red cherry, crushed raspberry, a hint of blackcurrant). There are also notes of morello cherry in, chocolate a very light hint of crème de cassis, combined with a delicate spicy side (licorice, a hint of vanilla, sweet pepper and nutmeg), as well as roasting (dark chocolate, coffee in the background, toasted hazelnut). The finish is long and tasty: it continues on the delicacy of chocolate morello cherry and dark chocolate, the freshness of herbs (rosemary, a hint of dried mint and tobacco) and a good bitterness of coffee. The tannins are ripe, powdery and chocolatey, melted and fine, but structured. Beautiful acidity, freshness, complexity and balance.
