Tenuta Olim Bauda 2020 – Nizza Riserva

The wine has a ruby ​​color of medium intensity. The nose is fragrant and flavorful, with distinct spicy and herbal notes on the first nose. It expresses aromas of grated nutmeg, liquorice(with a delicate hint of anise), vanilla in the background, crushed coriander seeds, black pepper and pink pepper, combined with touches of fresh tobacco, sage, bay leaf, peppermint and rosemary. On the second nose, the wine expresses subtle roasted aromas (toasted hazelnut, a touch of cocoa), wrapped in a beautiful tangy and fresh fruity material – the aromas of crushed blackcurrant, morello cherry, bigarreaucherry, bird cherry and raspberry. A beautiful mentholated perfume, which intensifies after aeration. The palate is chiseled, straight and offers accuracy and freshness in its fruity material. It expresses notes of morello cherry, tangy blueberry, crushed blackcurrant, red cherry, crushed raspberry, combined with savoury herbaceous hints (rosemary, peppermint, bay leaf), spicy notes (liquorice, crushed pink pepper, crushed coriander seeds, nutmeg), as well as a hint of roasting (coffee, toasted hazelnut, fresh hazelnut). The tannins are firm, grippy, but integrated and tasty. The acidity is fresh and salivating. Good length in the mouth, on the fresh and tangy notes of red cherry and cranberries.
