Beppe Marino Quattrofilari 2019 – Nizza Riserva

The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose is aromatic and offers accuracy, juiciness, precision and a beautiful freshness of the fruit, with a delicate touch of roasted fruits and a hint of menthol, which appears after aeration. It expresses notes of morello cherry, red cherry, roasted red cherry, crushed raspberry, blackberry, black plum and blackcurrant, associated with touches of sweet spices (fresh vanilla, even toasted vanilla, liquorice, cumin, nutmeg) and roasting (toasted hazelnut, coffee, dark chocolate). We also find a fine floral bouquet (wild rose, dried rose in the background, a sweet hint of peony and iris) and herbaceous (peppermint, rosemary, thyme). We also feel a delicate minerality in the background. The palate offers a lively, fruity, juicy and tangy attack, with a good bitterness of bird cherry. It expresses notes of blackcurrant, morello cherry, bigarreau cherry, cranberries (in the background), roasted red cherry, blackberry, black fig and black plum, associated with touches of roasting (coffee, bitter cocoa, toasted almond), sweet spices (liquorice, toasted vanilla in the background, cumin, nutmeg), as well as dried rose and iris. A delicate hint of peppermint and a good bitterness of bird cherry and coffee (even grapefruit and bergamot) on the persistence. Good acidity and good length, which offer density and concentration, associated with freshness and acidity as well as a beautiful tannic structure.
