The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose is aromatic and precise, and opens with a fresh resinous side (pine sap, fresh pine needles, a hint of menthol). Then, it expresses notes of sweet spices (liquorice, with a hint of anise, cumin seeds, coriander seeds, a very discreet hint of vanilla in the background), fresh fruits (red cherry, morello cherry, blackberry, black plum, bird cherry), as well as a pleasant herbaceous hint(fresh rosemary, thyme, bay leaf, dried mint) and a touch of fresh hazelnut and cocoa. After aeration, delicate tertiary notes appear (undergrowth, dried rose, tobacco). The palate offers liveliness, a tangy and chiseled structure, as well as flavors of tangy fresh fruits on the attack. It expresses notes of blackcurrant, bigarreau cherry, tangy raspberry, morello cherry, blackberry and black plum, combined with the gourmandise of sweet spices (liquorice with a hint of star anise, coriander seeds, caraway), a hint of chocolate, mint, as well as a sappy and herbaceous side (pine needles, pine sap, fresh rosemary, dried mint in the background). The tertiary notes are practically imperceptible (dried rose). The finish is savory, gourmet and juicy, with a beautiful salivating acidity, a fresh menthol side and a slight bitterness. Good persistence with a touch of dark chocolate, the tannins are fine and structured.
