Montalbera, la Mia Nuda 2021 – Nizza

Montalbera, la Mia Nuda 2021 – Nizza

The wine has a ruby colour of medium intensity. The first nose is chiseled, fruity and tangy: it expresses aromas of bigarreaucherry, raspberry, wild strawberry, blackberry, morello cherry and dried red cherry. The second nose is spicier and toasted: it expresses aromas of liquorice, toasted vanilla, ground cumin, white pepper and nutmeg, combined with notes of dark chocolate, coffee and toasted almond, as well as hints of fresh flowers (iris, lily) and aromatic herbs (peppermint, crushed thyme leaf). In the background, we also smell a delicate toasted and smoky aroma. The palate is fruity and juicy. The attack is greedy, tangy and airy and expresses flavors of tangy fruits (red cherry, blackcurrant, raspberry, a hint of cranberries and bird cherry in the background), which combine in the mid-palate with tasty and integrated notes of roasting and sweet spices (toasted hazelnut, dark chocolate, sweet coffee, liquorice, a hint of vanilla in the background, cumin, white pepper). The tannins are powdery, slightly grippy and have a firm structure. Beautiful salivating acidity and good persistence on a herbaceous touch of thyme, dried mint and rosemary, associated with a delicate touch of lily.
