The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose is dense, aromatic, concentrated and fruity, with a distinct hint of roasted fruits. It expresses notes of roasted red cherry, very ripe morello cherry, blackcurrant jam, crushed wild strawberry and raspberry coulis, associated with integrated and gourmand aromas of roasting (toasted hazelnut, a hint of coffee), with a fine spiciness (liquorice, cumin, clove). We also find an almost Mediterranean herbaceous hint (roasted bouquet garni, dried rosemary, thyme). After aeration, sweet notes of dark chocolate and peony appear. The palate offers freshness (rather than the roasted side), juiciness and airiness in its fruitiness. It expresses notes of ripe morello cherry, wild strawberry, raspberry coulis, red cherry and blackcurrant jam, combined with touches of roasting (toast, dark chocolate, toasted hazelnut), a hint of herbs(roasted bouquet garni, dried thyme, rosemary) and spice (licorice, cumin). The tannins are very fine and melted. Good length with a supple but fresh acidity.
