CHÂTEAU SEGUR DE CABANAC 2023 – Saint Estèphe

A lovely fruity nose, with controlled power, a certain delicacy in its concentration. It expresses notes of wild blackberry, black pepper and more slightly bright red berries associated with touches of bright berries as well as hints of fleshy cherry, a fine hint of balsamic. The palate is mineral and offers fruit, salinity/iodine, precision and a certain clarity in its fruit, tension and juiciness. It expresses notes of fleshy/juicy cherry, tangy/fresh strawberry and more slightly – juicy/tart blackcurrant, associated with touches of iodine minerality, tonka bean, smoke, graphene and toast. Good length. The tannins are fine, mellow and fresh, saline persistence and a subtle sappy hint in the background.
