The nose is nicely carried out, precise and offers an airy side. It expresses notes of blackberry, small pulpy/fresh black fruits and more slightly – fleshy blackcurrant, associated with touches of bigarreau cherry, as well as floral hints (lily, iris) and a fine sappy hint and a very discreet hint of cornflower. The palate is nicely juicy, fruity, balanced and offers a tangy, fresh, nicely iodized frame, energy, precision, a nice freshness, good work on the good bitters. It expresses notes of juicy/pulpy blackberry, fresh/crunchy raspberry, and more lightly – small shiny black fruits, associated with touches of racy/iodized minerality, fresh flowers and discreet hints of fresh roasting, star anise, small creamy/fresh blue fruits, as well as fine hints of toast, cardamom and a discreet hint of toasted almond. Good length, the tannins are sapid, tasty and discreetly soft. Creaminess in freshness in the airy mouth, depth and a little concentration, suppleness. A nice density side in freshness, nicely defined in its richness. Nice work on the good bitters in the background.
