A lovely floral nose, fresh, fruity, with a lovely definition, precision, accuracy, an airy side in its power. It expresses notes of pulpy wild blackberry, violet and more lightly – cubeb pepper, infusion, star anise, as well as fine hints of almost roasted-juicy morello cherry, spices and a hint of smoke. The palate is nicely mineral, precise, fruity and offers roundness, fat, a certain roundness, accuracy, suppleness in freshness. It expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackcurrant, bright blackberry and more lightly – crushed berries, associated with touches of star anise, chocolate, crushed blue plum, lily as well as fine hints of almost discreetly sappy, toasted, chocolatey and smoky. The tannins are soft, gourmet, sapid and very discreetly sappy.
