The nose is fruity, fresh and offers infusion, complexity, a nice depth as well as race. All in complexity and elegance. It reveals notes of blackberry, violet and small notes of spices associated with touches of pepper, dense/pulpy cassis, small blue fruits as well as fine hints of nutmeg, spices and pretty graphite hints. The palate is nicely juicy, fruity, mineral, elegant, balanced, nicely chiseled, precise and offers tension, accuracy as well as finesse. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy blackberry, juicy/fresh cassis and small notes of bright blue plum associated with touches of raspberry as well as hints of star anise, sense of place (local biotope), a subtle hint of sage and fine hints of dark chocolate/toast. The tannins are chalky, airy, fresh and elegant. A fine soft side on the finish.
