Château La Mission 2023 – Lalande de Pomerol

The nose is beautifully conducted, precise and offers a fine concentration, minerality, a certain power. It expresses notes of raspberry, small ripe/juicy wild red berries and more slightly – violet, associated with touches of racy minerality, lily, as well as fine hints of cornflower, nutmeg and a very discreet iodized hint. The palate is nicely juicy, fruity, fresh, mineral, balanced and offers a juicy frame, all in suppleness and a pulpy/juicy fruit, delicacy, a fine iodized character in the background which brings sapidity. It expresses notes of pulpy/juicy raspberry, small bright red fruits and more slightly – cornflower, associated with touches of star anise, racy minerality, as well as fine toasted hints and nutmeg. Nice definition and delicacy. Nice freshness and minerality.
