Lovely fresh nose offering fruit, a certain roasting as well as a textured and finely grainy side. It reveals notes of pulpy Boysenberry, bright purple plum and small notes of fairly ripe blackcurrant associated with fine hints of almost cornflower/flowers, aromatic herbs as well as a discreet hint of infusion and balsamic. The palate is nicely juicy, fruity, mineral and offers good definition, accuracy, suavity, a certain gourmandise, a Mediterranean accent as well as a nice shine and crystalline side of the fruit. On the palate this wine expresses notes of Bigarreau cherry, fairly ripe blackcurrant and small notes of small black berries associated with touches of tonka bean/cocoa as well as fine hints of toast and fresh coffee. Good length. A subtle hint of almost wisteria in the background. Lovely fruitiness and juiciness.
