Château Fonbadet 2023 – Pauillac

The nose is beautifully fresh, mineral, airy and beautifully precise in its structure, it offers a captivating and dark side in freshness. It expresses notes of juicy/dense blackberry, fresh/ripe raspberry and more slightly – infusion associated with touches of small fresh/juicy berries, as well as hints of incense, camphor and a discreet hint of toasted-fresh. The palate is beautifully juicy, fruity and offers freshness, minerality, a fresh frame, accuracy, energy and a nice little acidity. It expresses notes of juicy/fresh raspberry, juicy/fresh cherry and more slightly – cornflower, associated with touches of juicy/fresh blackcurrant, as well as hints of star anise and camphor and a hint of toasted almond. The tannins are finely marked, saline and finely mellow on the persistence with hints of black tea frias in the background.
