Croix de Labrie 2023 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Classé, Saint-Emilion Grand Cru

Nice precise nose, fresh, airy, deep, elegant and which offers a nice grain as well as intensity in accuracy. We find notes of cornflower, graphite and more slightly black pepper associated with touches of nutmeg, small red fruits (with an almost Mediterranean side), small blue fruits as well as hints of fresh blue plum, discreet hints of sage, spices, graphene and a subtle almost smoky hint. The palate is nicely juicy, fruity, fresh, mineral, chalky, tense, precise, gourmet and offers a nice purity of fruit as well as delicacy in its power/concentration. A nice textured side, fresh and silky. Beautiful balance! On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/fleshy raspberry, bright blackberry and small notes of small bright red fruits associated with touches of bright blueberry, hints of cornflower, tobacco, cardamom as well as fine hints of caramelization, graphene. The tannins are soft, sapid and discreetly sappy. Good length. A nice little hint of liquorice on the finish/persistence. A wine that reveals itself delicately, slowly in tasting.
