The nose is fruity, greedy and offers a fine concentration, depth and a fine power, a fine texture on the nose and a nice grain. It expresses notes of boysenberry, fresh strawberry and more slightly – blueberry, associated with touches of racy gravel, star anise and a subtle hint of almost fresh violet, timut pepper and imperceptible fresh pine. The palate is fruity, and offers minerality, freshness, tension, accuracy, a mineral frame, good definition. It expresses notes of juicy/pulpy blackberry, crushed raspberry and more slightly – almost roasted-juicy small fruits, associated with fine hints of warm pine needles, chocolate/toast and roasted almond. Good length. The tannins are soft, precise and racy. Nice soft and tasty finish. Nice freshness. A hint of good cocoa bitterness on the finish/persistence.
