Domaine de Chevalier 2023 – Pessac-Léognan

The nose is fruity, gourmand, beautifully textured and multidimensional. It expresses notes of graphite, star anise and more slightly – boysenberry, associated with touches of quite ripe/fleshy strawberry, as well as fine hints of sweet blond tobacco, warm pine needles and a subtle saline hint. The palate is mineral and offers accuracy, juiciness, a mineral frame, freshness. It expresses notes of juicy/pulpy blackberry, juicy/pulpy raspberry and more slightly – bright berries, associated with a touch of fleshy/juicy/fresh cherry, as well as hints of graphite, cardamom, toast, toasted hazelnut, fresh gravel, fresh plum and a discreet hint of toast, roasted almond. Good length, tasty and salivating finish, with a fine hint of cocoa in the background.
