Château Carbonnieux 2023 – Pessac-Léognan

A lovely, elegant, aromatic, delicate and concentrated nose at the same time. It expresses notes of morello cherry, bright blackberry and more slightly – bright strawberry, associated with touches of flowers (violet, wisteria, almost white flowers), as well as hints of zan, a discreet hint of timut pepper and a subtle hint almost of warm pine needles. The palate is fruity, and offers juiciness, suavity, a tangy frame, accuracy, tension, a fine delicacy, finesse and elegance, a stretched side. It expresses notes of juicy/pulpy blackberry, morello cherry and more slightly – small roasted-juicy fruits, associated with a Mediterranean touch, as well as fine hints of sage, sweet blond tobacco and a hint of liquorice stick and timut pepper. Good length. Savory and mellow tannins. Delicious. A nice little infusion side in the mouth.
