A lovely fresh and elegant nose, which offers a lovely definition and finesse of the grain, a fine intensity and a lovely textured side. It expresses notes of bright blackcurrant, small bright red berries and more lightly – small bright red fruits, associated with fine hints of racy minerality as well as fine hints of star anise and a hint of infusion, toasted/fresh and a very discreet hint of vanilla. The palate is nicely carried out, fresh, balanced and offers a tangy frame, brilliance, good definition, a certain little pulpiness, a fine spherical side, a little fat, delicacy and purity, almost a crystalline side. It expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackberry, creamy blackcurrant and more lightly – bright/roasted raspberry, associated with touches of cornflower, star anise, infusion, as well as a subtle hint of almost Ceylon tea and fine hints of toast, toasted almond and a mineral and finely saline hint. The tannins are sapid, saline and fresh. A fresh, airy and voluptuous wine. Nice texture and a subtle hint of good bitterness on the finish/persistence.
