Château Romer du Hayot 2023 – Sauternes Cru Classé

The nose is racy, mineral and offers a fine concentration and a spicy hint. It expresses notes of peach in syrup, small nuts and more slightly – syrupy fruits, associated with fine touches of white flowers, crystallized lemon, as well as discreet hints of fresh verbena and fresh flowers and toast. The palate is nicely fresh, juicy, balanced and offers a fresh/tangy frame, good definition, juiciness, a tangy frame, a certain little smoothness, delicacy. It expresses notes of creamy peach, small white fruits in syrup and more slightly – candied apple, associated with touches of candied lemon as well as discreet hints of roasted almond, fresh vanilla and racy/flint minerality. A subtle smoky hint in the background.
