Château La Croix de Pez 2023 – Saint-Estèphe

The nose is gourmand and offers a fine richness/concentration. It expresses notes of fleshy strawberry, small creamy fruits and more slightly – blackcurrant associated with touches of crushed strawberry, as well as fine hints of liquorice stick. The palate is mineral and offers freshness, accuracy, a little tension, a fine creaminess in freshness, a stretched/tracing side. It expresses notes of pulpy raspberry, small creamy red fruits and more slightly – pulpy/tangy blackcurrant, associated with touches of tonka bean, racy/almost iodized minerality and a subtle hint of chocolate and toasted almond. Good length and work on the good bitters.
