Passopisciaro – Contrada R 2022 – Terre Siciliane

The nose is marked by a balsamic side and offers a hint of volatile. There are notes of balsamic, tobacco and small notes of smoke associated with touches of sense of place (local biotope) / dry local grove as well as fine hints of infusion, sage and a discreet hint of black pepper. The palate is nicely led, balanced, racy and offers freshness, accuracy, tension, good definition, delicacy, precision, a tangy frame as well as accuracy. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fairly ripe wild blackcurrant, fairly ripe black plum and small notes of small wild red berries associated with touches of bay berries, blond tobacco as well as fine hints of sense of place (local biotope), mocha as well as a subtle hint of spices. The tannins are sapid. Good length. Nice suppleness, freshness and definition of the fruit.
