Passopisciaro – Contrada G 2022 – Terre Siciliane

The nose is racy, aromatic, precise and offers a certain power. It reveals notes of laurel berries and small wild red berries associated with touches of pepper, a touch of Bigarreau cherry as well as fine hints of cherry blossom, crushed blackcurrant and discreet hints of balsamic. The palate is nicely built, mineral, precise and offers freshness, good definition, juiciness, accuracy, a tangy frame as well as tension. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy red plum, wild cherry and small notes of laurel berries associated with touches of nutmeg, balsamic as well as a subtle hint of local grove and mineral/marked terroir. The tannins are structuring. Good length. Nice tangy persistence. A subtle hint of dark chocolate in the background.
