Antonelli 2020 – Montefalco Sagrantino

Beautiful, fruity, powerful, velvety nose that offers power. The wine needs to be decanted. There are notes of wild cassis, dense blue plum and small notes of roasted small berries associated with touches of black olive, smoke and a hint of graphene. The mouth is fruity and offers juiciness, suavity, freshness, a certain mineralit, gourmandise as well as a certain purity and brightness of the fruit. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of juicy/ pulpy plum, bright cassis and small notes of juicy / pulpy cherry associated with touches of crushed redcurrant as well as hints of chocolate, toasted, tobacco and a hint of tapenade in the background. Good length. Beautiful acidulous and juicy persistence. A subtle saline hint in the background. Beautifuly stretched on the finish.
