Domaine Thierry Merlin Cherrier Synopsis 2022 – Sancerre

The wine has a pale lemon yellow color with light golden highlights. The nose expresses notes of juicy stone fruits (white peach, ripe apricot, yellow plum), passion fruit, gooseberry, as well as tangy notes of candied lemon peel, lemon zest , grapefruit and golden apple, combined with a touch of linden honey, apple blossom, acacia, as well as a delicate minerality (limestone, salinity). The palate offers a round and fruity attack, with notes of passion fruit, yellow peach and apricot, refreshed by flavors of lemon, lime and grapefruit, with a good bitterness. Then, the wine expresses notes of white flowers (dried lime, acacia, apple blossom), acacia honey and wax in the background. The finish is warm, persistent, with a chalky mineral touch and a good bitterness of grapefruit and an expressive honeyed note. Beautiful concentration, sapidity and balance.
