Fabienne et Benoit Godon-Reverdy, Domaine de la Garenne, Les Bouffants 2022 – Sancerre

The wine has a pale lemon yellow color. The nose is reserved, but fruity and tangy after aeration. It expresses notes of lemon zest, grapefruit peel, a juicy and gourmand touch of green apple and green pear, as well as a distinguished mineral framework (limestone, a smoky hint of flint) and a fragrant floral bouquet (acacia, dried linden). The palate is gourmand, with juicy notes of white peach and green apple, combined with notes of lemon zest, lime and grapefruit. We also find floral touches of dried lime and apple blossom, as well as a distinguished minerality (limestone, dry stone, smokiness). Concentration, juiciness, lively tangy fruitiness and straighness. A fresh and energetic wine, quite persistent.
