Fabienne et Benoit Godon-Reverdy, Domaine de la Garenne, Alliance 2023 – Sancerre

(organic) The wine has a pale lemon yellow color. The first nose is fresh, lemony and mainly expresses citrus notes (lemon, grapefruit). The second nose offers an exotic touch of passion fruit, gooseberry, as well as a hint of acacia and limestone minerality. The palate offers a mineral and distinguished attack, also with limestone and slightly smoky notes in the background. In the mid-palate, we find the liveliness and tanginess of lemon, lime, grapefruit and green plum, complemented by notes of gooseberries and passion fruit. The finish is tangy, chiselled and salivating. A wine with lots of freshness, good bitterness on the finish and a nice tangy structure.
