Claude et Florence Thomas Labaille, Cuvée « Les Aristides » 2022 – Sancerre

The wine has a pale lemon yellow color. The nose is gourmand, honeyed and fruity: it expresses notes of ripe yellow peach, ripe apricot, white nectarine, as well as candied lemon, grapefruit and tangy pineapple. We also find aromas of acacia, apple blossom, a hint of fresh hazelnut as well as a limestone mineral nuance. The palate is enveloping, juicy and gourmand. The attack offers notes of fleshy stone fruits (yellow peach, ripe apricot), combined with tangy flavors of green apple, yellow lemon and green plum. In the mid-palate, the wine expresses notes of white flowers (acacia, apple blossom), honey and wax in the background. A mineral touch appears at the end of the palate, accompanied by a sharp acidity and citrus freshness, as well as a good bitterness on the persistence.
