Château Rouget 2023 – Pomerol

The nose is concentrated, gourmand and a little roasted, but fresh at the same time. It expresses notes of morello cherry, bigarreau cherry, wild strawberry, raspberry coulis, chocolate with mint, liquorice, peony, violet, dark chocolate, coffee, nutmeg, as well as crushed blackcurrant and blackcurrant bud, which bring freshness. The palate is very fruity, juicy, silky and gourmand. It offers flavors of wild strawberry, morello cherry, bigarreau cherry, blackcurrant, liquorice, violet, peony, mint and chocolate, powdery, fine and chocolatey tannins. The finish is persistent, tangy, salivating, but refined and balanced. Good aging potential.
