Fabien Cirotte, Domaine de la Croix St-Laurent Sancerre Caillottes 2022 – Sancerre

The wine has a pale lemon yellow color. The nose is aromatic and tangy: it expresses notes of gooseberries, which dominate the first nose, passion fruit (with a touch of crushed passion fruit seeds), orange zest, lemon crushed, green pear, as well as white peach, apple blossom and mineral notes of calcareous rock. The palate has a gourmand and tangy attack at the same time: we find notes of white peach, tangy apricot, gooseberries, passion fruit, as well as green apple, apple blossom and grapefruit, with good bitterness, which appears at the end of the palate. The acidity is lively and salivating. Beautiful freshness and good persistence on the palate.
