Pierre Morin Le Chant de L’Orme 2022 – Sancerre

Pierre Morin Le Chant de L’Orme 2022 – Sancerre

(organic) The wine has a pale lemon yellow color. The first nose is reserved, but offers concentration and complexity. It expresses delicate spicy touches (nutmeg, clove) and a light note of toasted hazelnut. After aeration, the wine expresses aromas of candied lemon, lemon zest, grapefruit, fresh pineapple, white peach, crunchy apricot and green plum, combined with aromas of dried lime blossom, dried chamomile and acacia. We also find a smoky touch of flint and a limestone note. The palate offers a fruity, fleshy and gourmand attack. It expresses notes of yellow peach, apricot and candied lemon, combined with the freshness of lemon zest and green apple. Then, the wine expresses delicate spicy and toasted notes (cloves, nutmeg, toasted hazelnuts in the background), a mineral touch limestone, and a chiselled acidity of lime and green kiwi. Good persistence in the mouth, with precision, accuracy and sharp freshness.
