Domaine Châtelain Les Vignes de Saint-Laurent L’Abbaye 2023 – Pouilly-Fumé

The wine has a pale lemon yellow color, with slight green reflections. The nose is precise and mineral. It first expresses the aromas of limestone, a smoky touch of flint in the background, as well as fresh and chiseled notes of lemon zest, grapefruit, crushed lemon, green apple, white peach and tangy apricot. There is also a delicate floral scent of acacia, apricot blossom and fresh almond in the background. The palate offers a straight, chiseled and mineral attack (with notes of chalk and flint in the background). It also expresses tangy flavors of lemon, lime, grapefruit with good bitterness, green apple and a herbaceous touch of blackcurrant leaf. The finish is persistent, with a slightly drying limestone touch, a lively lemon acidity and a floral hint of acacia. A precise, straight and mineral wine.
