Champagne Jeaunaux Robin Rosé de Saignée Extra-Brut – Champagne Rosé

Champagne Jeaunaux Robin Rosé de Saignée Extra-Brut – Champagne Rosé

(organic, 100% Meunier, 2020 harvest) The wine has a salmon color of medium intensity. The bubbles are numerous and fine. The nose is chiselled, precise and initially expresses tangy red fruits: fresh cranberries, raspberry, bigarreau cherry, red currants, as well as aromas of wild rose, berberis flower and peony. On the second nose, we see a clear and distinguished minerality (limestone, even chalky, dry stone), associated with notes of brioche, strawberry jam in the background and cherry yogurt. The mouth is straight, open and gourmand,, and at the same time lively and tense. It expresses round notes of morello cherry, a tangy touch of bigarreau cherry, cranberries, raspberry, crunchy strawberry and red currants. In the mid-palate, we feel the floral notes of wild rose, peony and cherry blossom, as well as a touch of slightly toasted brioche and cherry yougurt (as an arome of aging more than malolactic fermentation). The finish is persistent, with a salivating acidity and a good bitterness of grapefruit, enveloped in the roundness of flavors of ripe morello cherry and vine peach, which appear at the very end of the palate. Beautiful effervescence, fine and delicate.
