Moro Sergio, Menùz Metodo Classico Brut Nature 2018 – Spumante di Qualitá

(disgorgement in November 2023): The nose is aromatic, with precise notes of aging on lees (yeast, fresh bread, brioche). It also expresses citrus aromas which bring vivacity (citron, lime, dried lemon), as well as the gourmandise of stone fruits (apricot, yellow peach) and melon, associated with touches of dried apple, butter and a tasty spicy side (saffron, nutmeg, coriander seeds, vanilla in the background). The palate offers complexity and expression. We find notes of yeast, brioche and bread, associated with yellow peach and juicy apricot, tangy notes of citron, dried lemon and bergamot, as well as notes of spices (especially saffron and nutmeg, with a hint of vanilla). The finish is persistent, with good bitterness and lots of freshness in a salivating acidity. Lots of finesse and great complexity.
