Domaine de Pellehaut – 2005 – Bas-Armagnac

(50.2%) The nose is elegant, airy, nicely racy and offers a taut, racy and airy grain (terroir). There are notes of rancio, orangette, crème brulée and slight notes of dried orange zest associated with a touch of dried kumquat, tobacco and a hint of pepper. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, suavity, a mineral frame, precision as well as a fine tension. On the palate this wine expresses notes of marmalade, orange zest and small notes of potpourri associated with touches of pepper as well as a almost infusion hint, tobacco and fine hints of nutmeg. Good length. A racy, precise, frank and stretched Armagnac.
