Domaine d’Esperance – Folle-Blanche 2007 – Bas-Armagnac

(51.5%) The nose is aromatic and offers elegance, a certain power, a full and captivating side. We find notes of rancio, orangette and small notes of dried kumquat associated with a touch of citrus paste, a hint of peach, discreet hints of blond tobacco as well as an imperceptible hint of verbena and vanilla. The palate is fruity and offers gourmandise, a tangy frame, juiciness, a nice definition, a small fat as well as a slight suavity. A linear and fine side, small width. On the palate this Armagnac expresses notes of dried yellow apple, crushed white fruits and small notes of dried apricot associated with toasted touches, fine hints of dried pineapple as well as hints of tobacco, a subtle hint of pepper and a very discreet hint of good bitterness. Tasty finish/persistence.
