Château Arton – Pièce Unique 2012, fût n°19 – Haut Armagnac

(Ugni Blanc, Bottled : March 2024) The nose is elegant, powerful, racy and offers a certain gourmandise as well as a dry and refined grain. It reveals notes of blond grape, potpourri and small notes of quince associated with touches of lemon paste, fine hints of gray pepper, beeswax, citron as well as a hint of jam apple and gingerbread. The palate is fruity and offers minerality, a nice tension, a harmonious/melodious side, finesse, precision as well as delicacy and suppleness in its power. A fine, precise and racy grain. On the palate this Armagnac expresses notes of coffee, crushed blond grapes and small notes of quince marmalade associated with touches of light oak, spices as well as fine hints of rancio and blond tobacco. Nice persistence. Good length.
