Camille Giroud Chassagne-Montrachet, Les Vergers Premier Cru 2021 – Chassagne-Montrachet

The wine has a lemon yellow color of medium intensity. The nose is complex and dense. The first nose expresses delicate woody and spicy notes (fresh wood in the background, toasted hazelnut, a slight touch of apricot kernel, vanilla, cloves, coconut in the background), associated with a fleshy and fresh fruitiness in the background. second nose (yellow peach, apricot, tangy pineapple, yellow plum), with notes of ripe citrus fruits (yellow lemon, pomelo), a gourmet touch of brioche and lemon cream, as well as a fine floral bouquet (acacia, linden) and a hint of honey. The palate offers a balanced, gourmet and savoury attack. There are notes of honey, fresh thyme, toasted hazelnut, fresh wood, a touch of vanilla and clove. In the mid-palate, the wine expresses the enveloping flavors of yellow peach, apricot and yellow plum, a fragrant floral bouquet (acacia, linden) and the liveliness of citrus fruits (yellow lemon, lemon zest). The finish is chiseled, straight and refreshing. It completes the profile of the wine with lively, salivating acidity and good grapefruit bitterness. The persistence is long, tangy and mineral, with expressive notes of citrus zest and a racy minerality. Lots of freshness, beautiful complexity and structure.
