Didier Charton-Vachet Les Jardins d’Ysabeau Montagny Premier Cru 2021 – Montagny Premier Cru

The wine has a lemon yellow color of medium intensity. On the nose, it is reserved and needs to be aerated. It then expresses the tangy notes of lemon zest, lemon juice and grapefruit, combined with juicy and gourmand aromas of white peach and tangy apricot. We also find a floral touch of acacia and linden, a gourmet hint of flower honey, fresh butter and lemon yogurt, combined with delicate and integrated woody aromas (toasted hazelnut, fresh hazelnut, toasted oak in the background, peanut butter). The palate offers accuracy, tanginess of lively and refreshing citrus fruits – we find in particular the flavors of lemon juice, lemon zest, a hint of lime jam, grapefruit, as well as green apple background. The mid-palate offers the indulgence of white peach, apricot, floral honey, as well as a floral touch of acacia, linden and a lactic hint of fresh butter and lemon yogurt, associated with notes of fresh hazelnut, toasted hazelnut and toasted oak in the background. The finish is precise, fresh and tangy, with fragrant floral notes of acacia, linden and apple blossom, as well as the freshness of lemon. Great persistence on the palate, with lots of freshness, lively acidity and delicate bitterness.
