André Goichot Auxey-Duresses 2022 – Auxey-Duresses

The wine has a lemon yellow color of medium intensity. The first nose is fragrant and rather complex. It expresses notes of candied lemon peel, lemon zest, crushed lemon, as well as pineapple, crunchy apricot, white peach, acacia and fresh wood. After aeration, the bouquet is completed with notes of honey, candied lemon, as well as a touch of hazelnut, coriander seeds and fennel. The palate is juicy, tangy, fresh and slightly woody. In the attack, we feel notes of fresh hazelnut and flower honey (quite sweet and neutral). Then, the wine expresses the flavors of apricot, yellow peach, fresh lemon, candied lemon, vanilla, toasted wood, as well as acacia flower and linden. The finish is straight and persistent, with a lively acidic structure and a good bitterness, rather woody. A straight wine, which offers precision, a fragrant bouquet, as well as a salivating tangy frame which gives the wine a beautiful structure.
