La Sirène de Giscours 2023 – Margaux

The nose is beautifully fresh, mineral, elegant and offers a nice concentration in accuracy/finesse as well as a nice floral side. There are notes of pulpy/juicy blueberry, pulpy raspberry and small notes of bright berries associated with touches of violet, spices as well as fine hints of cornflower, a hint of Madagascar pepper, very discreet hints of sweet tobacco and a subtle/airy hint of sweet spices. The palate is beautifully mineral, supple, airy, balanced and offers a nice energy, a spherical side, a tangy frame, accuracy as well as juiciness. Nicely tasty. On the palate this wine expresses notes of crunchy boysenberry, lilac, small fresh/juicy red berries and small notes of violet associated with touches of crunchy cherry, fresh spices as well as a discreet hint of dry gravel, a subtle hint of salinity and an imperceptible hint almost sense of place (local biotope). The tannins are soft, sapid and gourmet. Nice little chew on the finish/persistence.
