Chäteau Ségur Fillon 2023 – Haut-Médoc

The nose offers a certain concentration and density. It expresses notes of morello cherry, black plum, blackcurrant, blueberry and red cherry, combined with a delicate floral touch of rose and peony, as well as a spicy and woody hint (toasted hazelnut, toasted wood in the background, liquorice, clove). The palate offers juiciness and smoothness. It expresses notes of tangy fruits morello cherry, blackcurrant, bird cherry with its tannic side, red cherry, black plum), a spicy touch (liquorice, clove) and slightly herbaceous note (pine needles). The finish is rather persistent and expresses notes of heated wood and toasted hazelnut. The tannins are sapid, slightly bitter and grippy. Nice acidity and good bitterness on the finish.
